Fundraising and Support

In the past, funding has been raised via donations from individuals, companies, charitable foundations and fundraising events, including the following:

1. A sponsored Paris to Istanbul bike ride by three Oxford students, which was endorsed by Sir Elton John. Alexander Kinloch, George Stancliffe and Freddie Athill departed from Paris on 12 March 2007 and cycled 3800 km over 5 weeks to Istanbul. This event has raised in excess of £30,000.
2. A fundraising evening at St Hugh's College, Oxford, sponsored by Heineken and Fuller's brewery.

Our charity operates with a very low cost base. The Thai doctors, in particular, provide their service free of charge. We are happy to have fulfilled our financial target for 2009; however, we very much need on-going support. We are presently seeking to raise funds for the years 2010-11. We are in the process of promoting the charity among leading businessman and businesswomen in the UK and South-East Asia.
